Worcester Takes to the Stage

We are really proud to be helping to make this year’s KidzLive Concert an even bigger success. Building on the triumph of the 2013 event there will be 2,000 tickets available for the concert this year.

We will be sponsoring the event which is taking place on Monday 22nd December at the University of Worcester Arena, from 4pm until 7pm.

This year’s KidzLive concert will be opened by band ‘Chase the Deer’. The five piece indie band is made up of Pershore High School students Briony Watkins, Angus Evans, Michael Evans, Owen Taylor and George Frangoudes who secured the slot after sending in a fantastic audition tape and then winning the live audition.   It is also a very happy co-incidence that the Evans boys are the sons of Richard Evans from Worcester, Bosch Group.

Also performing is Worcester trio ‘Done by Sunrise’, the cast of ‘Lion King’, One Direction tribute band, ‘Only 1D’ and there will be a special appearance by Jake Quickenden from the X Factor and I’m a Celebrity… The event will be hosted by Radio DJ Liam Cash and Britain’s Got Talent’s, Stavros Flatley.

KidzLive is organised by the Worcester Community Trust (WCT), a registered charity that provides youth, community and employment support services from six local community centres. They organise youth clubs and summer play schemes, as well as arranging events for the elderly. The WCT also supports DAWN – the Domestic Abuse Working Network.

Tickets cost £7 each and can be collected from Warndon Youth and Community Centre  (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm) or the Green Centre (Mon – Fri, 9am – 3pm) or by calling 01905 453453. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Worcester employees can contact Sue Pennington directly for tickets.
